Hi, I'm
Cili!
I live in
Kostroma.
It's one of the oldest cities in Russia, founded in the early 12th century.
It is a city of majestic golden churches and temples. Ancient architecture does not concede to the best tourist cities in the
world, the Old
Gostiny Dvor (Russian indoor market) is
still full of life.
Kostroma is considered to be the birthplace of the latest Russian royal dynasty -
the Romanovs, who were deposed by the 1917
revolution. But from the walls of
the Ipatievsky Monastery the future tsar, the young
Mikhail Romanov, was called to Russian throne in
1613.
Now the Ipatievsky Monastery is a popular place for Russian tourists, the pearl of
the Golden Ring of Russia.
Kostroma is located on the largest European river -
the Volga.
In addition, Kostroma has the only in Russia elk farm. There you can take the photo with the animals, feed them and buy
souvenirs. Children are always full of delight with the visit of this amazing place.
David, I give you our Russian
Lord of the Rings - the Bear with
Barankis, or Sushki (one of the oldest Russian tea bread).
