Hi, I'm
Natalia!
I am from quite young city
Severodvinsk, which stands on seaside of Arctic Ocean.
This is one of the biggest cities of
Arkhangelsk Oblast.
Since ancient times my land was famous for its brave sailors.
The first Russian shipyards and ports, connecting Russia with Europe, were established here.

From here a young man - the future first Russian scientist, the ingenious
Mikhail Lomonosov, went to Moscow on foot in search of knowledge.
My city was founded in 1936 at the same time with the big shipyard which still provides employment for the most part of population.
After the World War II the shipyard became the leading enterprise in production of nuclear submarines in our country.
And till today our city is continuing to develop: new schools, cinemas, shopping centers are built.
Also the little i
sland Yagry which was discovered by English seafarer
Richard Chancellor in the 16th century belongs to Severodvinsk.
Our city is very beautiful and I can talk about it endlessly but I propose just to enjoy views of it.
And 30 kilometers far from Severodvinsk, on both banks of the Northern Dvina River our regional center
Arkhangelsk is located. It exists since the 16th century but it is quite another story.
Dear David, I'm offering you our traditional and the most favorite Russian dishes.
Pickled herring and cucumbers.
Boiled potatoes and the vinegret which is very popular in Russia.
And juice of our northern cranberries.
