The popularity of this series was so huge, that film's creators have shot a sequel under the name "Escape from Jupiter", which clearly enough shows that after the happy reunion of the children with their parents this cozy little gathering was hand in hand setting out on the journey in the reverse direction. But, alas, this time the travelers managed without Dr. Ghrobak.
It is obvious, he had his urgent business somewhere in another place.
