In truth this is a movie for all ages and intelligence levels!
If you won't be captured by its enthralling sight, computer special effects and stunning sex appeal of main characters, which, what is more, work acrobatic wonders, without causing damage to their hair-style and manicure, try to regard this film as a parody of these masterpieces and you'll get a great pleasure.
The creators were not stingy; they united in one plot all monsters of Gothic novels, which could be remembered: Dracula, Werewolf, Frankenstein's monsterЕ
But the salt isn't in that; it is in the creation of a group superman: the authors divided a main male character between two persons.
The whole daring, adroitness, attraction fell to Van Helsing's lot, and intellect, sharpness and ingenuity - to his true "armour-bearer" Carl (be meant David Wenham).
In order that Wenham's Carl's obvious dignities didn't be striking, the authors have made him a funny hair-cut and dressed him in a monk's habit, in general have made of him a laughing-stock.
However it didn't hinder him to stay a real brain of the whole affair and a real man. In contrast to Van Helsing he isn't only a motive power, but also much better gets on with the girlsЕ
So the question arises as to whether wouldn't be this film more interesting without Van Helsing?
